Loyalty to Resistance Bloc highly estimated the national, clear stances of President Michel Aoun towards the resistance as President Aoun highlighted the importance of resistance’s continuity and the need for it, expressed his confidence in resistance’s keenness on preserving local stability and underscored the positive role played jointly by the resistance and Lebanese Army in favor of countering the Israeli violations and liberating the remaining occupied lands.
The bloc on Wednesday convened under the chairmanship of MP Mohammad Raad.
The bloc reiterated its support for an electoral law based on proportionality with single district or expanding ones, showing readiness at the same time to discuss any other law draft resembling the one it mostly preferred to certain extent.
Hezbollah bloc also highlighted its continued endeavor to urge the government to communicate with the Syrian authorities in order to treat the refugees crisis and enable them to return to their towns and cities in Syria.
The bloc warned against the Zionist settler plots which is being imposed by the Israeli entity as the major conspiracy in Syria has failed.
Hezbollah parliamentarians had expressed in the beginning of the session their pride in the Jiahadi spirit represented by the Islamic Resistance martyred leaders on the anniversary of their martyrdom.
The bloc stressed that the sacrifices of the Islamic Resistance have protected Lebanon from the Zionist plots and presented a great Islamic image different from that distorted by the takfiri groups.
On February 16 from every year, Hezbollah holds a ceremony in memory of its martyred leaders, Sheikh Ragheb Harab, Sayyed Abbas Mousawi, and Hajj Imad Moughneieh (was martyred in 2008).
Sheikh Harb was a prominent cleric in the Islamic resistance in Lebanon (Hezbollah) and had a leading role in fighting the Israeli occupation in Lebanon’s south. He was assassinated by Israeli enemy in February 16, 1984.
Sayyed Mousawi was a former secretary general. He was well-known for his everlasting will of saving the resistance against the Israeli enemy. Sayyed Mousawi was assassinated by an Israeli strike in February 16, 1991 when he was returning to Beirut from a ceremony in memory of Sheikh Harb in Lebanon’s south.
Hajj Imad Moghneieh was Hezbollah’s military commander. He planned for, masterminded and carried out many operations against the Israeli enemy. Haj Moghnieh, who was also known as Hajj Radwan, remain a ghost because he was wanted by international intelligence agencies. He was martyred in a car bomb attack in Damascus in February 12, 2008.
