Two Syrian soldiers were wounded by Israeli airstrikes on Monday night near Deir Ezzor in the eastern part of the country, according to Syrian state media.
“At about 23.50 p.m. on Monday, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial act of aggression on a number of the Syrian armed forces’ positions in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor,” SANA news agency quoted a military source as saying.
The aggression caused the injury of two soldiers, and some material damage, the Syrian agency added.
The overnight strike took place a few hours after Syria accused the Zionist entity of launching an attack in the Tartus region in the western part of the country, which took place unusually during daylight hours, at approximately 5:20 pm.
Syrian state TV reported that the attack was launched from the Mediterranean Sea and resulted in significant damage.
