Ebbs and flows preceded the issuance of the UN Security Council Resolution which extends the mandate of the UNFIL forces in Southern Lebanon.
Lebanon insisted that the UNIFIL movement must be in coordination with the Lebanese Army, while the Zionist enemy delegated its defense minister to press the UNSC to issue a resolution that turns the peacekeepers into unit-Hezbollah combat forces.
The usual support of the United States and its European and Arab allies to ‘Israel’ led to a resolution that adopts both the Lebanese and the Israeli demands.
In this context, the stances made by the Emirati envoy to the UNSC Lana Nasibi drew the attention of the Lebanese people as she blamed Hezbollah Resistance for the border tensions
UAE envoy also accused Hezbollah of violating the UN resolutions without blaming the Israeli enemy for any violation.
The Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Abu Habib indicated that the UNSC Resolution was not bad, adding that it does not denounce the Israeli occupation of the Lebanese part of Al-Ghajar town, yet calls for the withdrawal of the Zionist forces.
However, what is well-known is that the defenders of the nation, including the army, people, and resistance, will not let the UNIFIL to violate Lebanon’s sovereignty ion order to serve the Israeli interests. Thus, the Resolution will remain an ink on paper.
