Head of Marada Movement Sleiman Frangiyeh visited the Saudi ambassador to Lebanon Walid Al-Bukhari in Yarze upon the latter’s invitation for breakfast.
The former Lebanese minister and lawmaker has been nominated for presidency by Hezbollah, Amal Movement an other parties; however, he is still in need to gain the approval of a wider political spectrum in order to secure a successful vote as well as a presidential term.
After the meeting, Frangiyeh thanked Al-Bukhari for his invitation, noting that the meeting was friendly and excellent.

The Saudi diplomats have recently reiterated that Riyadh has not vetoed any candidate, and Al-Bukhari told the Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri that his country supports putting an end for the presidential vacuum ongoing since October 31, 2022.
Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed on Tuesday that the chance to elect a new president is clearer, adding that a bit more time is required to reach this end.
