Loyalty to Resistance Bloc underscored the necessity to adopt an electoral law based on full proportionality with a single district, in order to adhere to a formula providing fair popular representation abiding by the equity between Muslims and Christians.
The bloc held its periodic meeting on Tuesday, with MP Mohammad Raad chairing the meeting.
It hailed the resumption of legislative sessions at the parliament, deeming such sessions as promising with regards to the positive cooperation between authorities.
The bloc also considered that drafting a new electoral law was the government’s commitment that has been mentioned in its policy statement. “Dishonoring this commitment will shake the confidence in the so known confidence restoration government.”
It condemned the execution of three men in Bahrain, and offered condolences to the Iranians on the death of former President of Iran Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
