The minimum wage rate in Lebanon does not enable the worker to purchase even 20 liters of gasoline!
In Lebanon, the minimum wage rate is 640,000 L.L., and the price of one gasoline canister (20 liters) has now turned to be around 680,000 L.L.
The inflation crisis in Lebanon is exacerbating as the national currency exchange rate against the US dollar has remained unprecedentedly low (29,000 L.L. for every $1).
The purchase power of the Lebanese currency has also reached its lowest level in light of the chaotic increase in the commodities prices.
Would the new government be able to cope with the catsstrophic economic crisis?
