Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Tuesday held a series of meetings at the Grand Serail, where he welcomed Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Hajj Hassan, who briefed him on a plan to start cultivating soft wheat in a number of Lebanese regions, including the Bekaa Valley, Akkar, and Marjeyoun-Khiyam.
Mikati separately met with Minister of Social Affairs, Hector Hajjar, and Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Program in Lebanon, Najat Rushdi, in the presence of Mikati’s advisors Samir Daher and Ziad Mikati.
The Prime Minister then met with a delegation of Pharmaceutical Importers and Warehouse Owners headed by Karim Jbara. He also held a meeting with a delegation representing the Certified Topographers Syndicate in Lebanon, headed by Captain Sarkis Fadous. The delegation briefed Mikati on the syndicate’s demands.
