The government commissioner to the military court Judge Fadi Akiki pressed on Thursday charges of killing as well as causing and provoking murder against the head of the Lebanese Forces militia Samir Geagea over Tayyouneh crime.
Judge Akiki added that he referred the the charges file to the Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan.
On October 14, 2021, seven martyrs and around 30 injured were reported during the armed attack carried out by the “Lebanese Forces” militiamen on peaceful protestors in Tayouneh area. The protesters were demonstrating against the politicized decisions of the judicial investigator into Beirut blast, Tarek Al-Bitar.
