The former Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri announced on Monday the suspension of all the political activities of Al-Mustaqbal party which he leads, including running for the parliamentary elections.
During a press conference at his residence in Beirut, Hariri went over the main stages of his political life, claiming that he made numerous concessions for the sake of the nation.
Hariri added that he decided to suspend his political activities because he did not find any chance to improve the various conditions of the country.
In 2017, Hariri was detained in Saudi for 13 days after he face a major political dispute with the royalty in the kingdom. Political observer, thus, consider that Hariri’s decision to suspend his political activities is imposed on him by the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
