Raids by the Saudi-led coalition against Yemeni areas continued on Wednesday, January 19.
According to a military source, quoted by Yemeni television AlMasirah, today’s shelling of the capital Sanaa was carried out by Emirati planes.
13 strikes targeted, in the morning, Sanaa airport, Al-Daylami air base, Military College street north of the capital and other areas to the south and east.
Lebanese television correspondent AlMayadeen reported severe damage to homes adjacent to Sanaa airport.
29 Yemenis, including women and children, were killed and injured Monday evening, January 17, following Saudi bombardments targeting residential areas in the capital.
The Yemeni Ministry of Defense announced the martyrdom of the director of the College of Aviation and Air Defense, Pilot General Abdullah Qassem Al-Junaid, along with his family members, after a Saudi strike aimed at his house in Sanaa .
The bombardments against Sanaa are part of an air escalation led by the coalition, after the Yemeni response to the Emirati aggressions.
53 raids have targeted the capital and the provinces of Ma’rib, Jawf, Bayda, Chabwa and Dhaleh in the past 24 hours.
Yemeni forces on Monday (January 17th) carried out a drone and missile attack against vital targets in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
