Deputy Head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council Sheikh Ali Daamoush stressed that the Lebanese Resistance group, along with its loyal people, won’t abandon the path of freedom despite all forms of pressure it has being subjected to in the latest months.
In a ceremony on the second martyrdom anniversary of former head of IRGC’s Quds Force General Qassem Suleimani in Aramoun, Sheikh Daamoush said Hezbollah “is sticking to its right of liberating and defending its land.”
“Nothing will force us to abandon this right, neither the blockade, nor the media campaigns that we have been subjected to,” Sheikh Daamoush said in remarks carried by Al-Manar.
He praised the Resistance supporters as “loyal people” who are standing beside Hezbollah despite policies aimed at starving the country.
In this context, Sheikh Daamoush stressed that anti-Hezbollah policies adopted by the US administration and Saudi Arabia will neither change the Resistance group’s strategy nor break “our loyal people’s determination.”
He noted that the hike in USD Dollar exchange rate for the Lebanese Pound is a political and economic game aimed at putting more pressure on the Lebanese people in order to change their affiliation.
The top Hezbollah official called on Lebanese authorities to take several measures in order to cope with the unbearable surge in prices.
