The first Iraqi oil shipment unloaded on Friday its cargo in Deir Ammar electric facility in northern Lebanon, which will increase the power supply gradually.
A delegation from the Iraqi embassy in Beirut supervised the unload process, while the director of the facility hailed the Iraqi initiative amid the power crisis in Lebanon and highlighted the importance of the arrival of the second shipment in this regard.
Lebanon and Iraq had concluded an agreement according to which the former provides medical services in exchange for one million tons of fuel oil from the latter.
