The Zionist prime minister Naftali Bennett described his meeting with the Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi in Sharm Al-Sheikh as positive, hailing the Egyptian ‘hospitality’.
The Zionist media considered that the Egyptian step of placing the Israeli flag behind Bennett during the meeting reflects Cairo’s intention to reinforce the cooperation with Tel Aviv.
The Israeli analysts, however, mentioned that Sisi wanted ‘Israel’ to mediate a US intervention in solving the Nile River row with Ethiopia, adding that Tel Aviv cannot serve Cairo remarkably in this field.
Thus, the meeting did not lead to any resolute decision regarding the Egyptian-Ethiopian row, yet the Zionist premier urged the Egyptian leader to prevent the weaponry flow to the Gaza Strip.
The Zionist media mentioned that Bennett discussed the ceasefire in Gaza and rejected the “two-state solution” as proposed by El-Sisi.
Meanwhile, the Israeli FM Yair Lapid claimed that ‘Israel’ would allow the development of the economic situation in Gaza in return for halt of the rocketry fire from the Strip.
