Lebanon’s pound rose on Friday afternoon, trading at around 16,000 to the US dollar in the black market after the new government was formed.
The Lebanese citizens could buy the US dollar at LL15,800 and buy it for LL15,700 after the national pound was trading LL18,150 in the morning.
This monetary improvement occurred as Prime Minister Najib Mikati managed to create the new council of ministers in agreement with President Michel Aoun after 13 months of governmental void.
