Hezbollah called Lebanese Army and security forces to decisively intervene in order to restore security in Khade after a funeral procession came under attack by an Arab clan there.
In a statement released on Sunday, Hezbollah said that the funeral procession of Ali Shibli was ambushed by Ghoson Arab clan in Khalde.
“Hezbollah leadership follows up the situation with high concern, and calls upon the Lebanese Army and the security forces to decisively intervene in order to restore security in Khalde.”
Ali Shibli, a Hezbollah member, was martyred earlier on Saturday during a wedding ceremony in the area of Al-Jiyeh – some 30 kms south of Beirut. He was shot by a man from Ghoson Arab clan.
Members of the same clan attacked the funeral procession on Sunday, killing at least three people including a relative of Shibli, Lebanese media reported, adding that several others were injured.
