Russian reconciliation center in Humaimam air base confirmed on Wednesday taht out of about 6 thousand civilians and more than 360 armed men were evacuated from eastern Aleppo during the past 24 hours.
“During the last 24 hours, there has been evacuation process of 5992civilians, including 2210 children, with the support of the Russian Center for reconciliation,” a statement issued by the center read.
The center said that all civilians have been transferred to the humanitarian centers deployed in Aleppo, where they will be provided with hot meals and necessary medical aid.
The center added that 366 militants laid down their arms and left towards the west of Aleppo during the same period, 329 of them were pardoned by a Presidential decree.
The armed groups in the east of Aleppo announced Tuesday evening that they reached an agreement with the Syrian army on a cease-fire, including a term that allows all the militants and civilians wanting to leave the city to move toward other areas in the countryside of Aleppo or to the countryside of Idlib.
