Director of of the Iranian President’s office Sayyed Mahmoud Waezi denied the Saudi accusations about alleged Iranian interventions in Yemen, pointing out that the Saudi forces kill the Yemeni women and children.
After the cabinet session, Waezi stressed that the Saudi rulers avoid clarifying before the entire world the reasons behind the crimes of killing their Muslim brothers in Yemen.
Waezi indicated that the minimal Iranian aids to the Yemenis aim at preventing more oppression and injustice in that country, blaming Seoul for bowing to US pressures and freezing Iran’s assets in South Korean banks.
Yemen has been since March 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led Coalition, in a bid to restore control to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is Riyadh’s ally.
Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured in the strikes launched by the coalition, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
The coalition, which includes in addition to Saudi Arabia and UAE: Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan and Kuwait, has been also imposing a harsh blockade against Yemenis.
