The report added that 14511 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 260390.

According to the report, 51 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 4257.

Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of Pfizer vaccines are scheduled to arrive in the country on a weekly basis. In this regard, the caretaker health minister, Dr. Hamad Hasan, announced that he signed an agreement according to which Lebanon would obtain 1.5 million Astrazeneca vaccine shots.

Moreover, on February 8, a four-phase plan to ease a total lockdown and reopen the economic sectors took into effect.
