Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Adib announced, in a statement issued by his media office, his keenness to “form a task government that satisfies all the Lebanese and works to implement the economic, financial and monetary reforms that were agreed upon by all parties.”
Adib said that he committed himself to “remaining silent throughout this period of the government formation process, out of awareness of the great responsibility entrusted to him and in order to reach a lineup in consultation with the President of the Republic, and within the constitutional frameworks, to help the Lebanese people put an end to their daily pain.”
He reaffirmed his commitment to the constants that “the government be made of competent specialists, able to gain the confidence of the interior as well as the Arab and international community, as this would open the door for Lebanon to obtain the necessary external support to rescue the economy from drowning.”
Adib thus called on all parties to “cooperate in the interest of Lebanon and its sons, and to seize the opportunity to save the homeland.”
