Yemeni drones targeted Saudi airport of Abha early on Tuesday, a day after similar attack took place at the same airport.
Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced on the attack on Tuesday morning, stressing that the strike with explosive-laden drones was accurate.
In a tweet, Saree said the attack comes as a “legitimate retaliation to Saudi-led aggression and blockade against Yemeni people.”
Flights and operations at the Saudi airport were suspended for several hours due to the attack, the spokesman said.
Early on Monday, Yemeni drones targeted Abha airport, which was also hit last week.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
The Arab impoverished country has been also under harsh blockade b the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
