Lebanon’s number of COVID-19 infections increased on Sunday by 21 cases to 1,740, while death toll went up by one to 34, the National News Agency reported.
The ministry’s figures showed that the newly-confirmed cases included 32 imported infections and 19 local transmissions.
Lebanese people are continuously being instructed by the local health officials to follow precautionary measures in order to stay safe and to reduce the opportunity of transmitting the COVID-19 infection.
Preparations for the re-opening of the airport has been completed and will take place on Wednesday in hope to attract tourists to make up for the losses incurred during previous months due to COVID-19 outbreak.
Lebanon has been fighting against COVID-19 since Feb. 21.
