Israeli warplanes targeted a Syrian military position in Hama province near Massyaf early Thursday from Lebanese airspace, killing two soldiers and causing material damage, the Syrian army general command said in a statement.
The army statement warned against the “serious repercussions of such acts of aggression on the region’s security and stability.”
“This aggression is a desperate attempt to raise ISIL’s collapsed morale due to its defeat on several fronts,” the army statement read, “it also affirms the direct support provided by the Zionist entity to the ISIL terrorists and other terrorist organizations,” the statement added.
The Syrian army reiterated its determination to eliminate terrorism and uproot it from all the Syrian territories whatever the type of support provided to these terrorist groups was.
