Syrian army on Sunday controlled a number of strategic hills in Hama and engaged in clashes with ISIL terrorists in Deir Ezzor.
SANA news agency said the Syrian army, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established full control over a number of strategic hills in the surroundings of Salba village to the east of Salamiyeh city in Hama.
The agency’s reporter said that was achieved after carrying out intensive operations against ISIL terrorists and eliminating their latest gatherings in the area.
The army units also found a tunnel network in the hills which the terrorists were using to move and store ammunition and food supplies, according to SANA.
Elsewhere in Deir Ezzor, the Syrian army engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL terrorists in the city’s southwest, while the Syrian Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes against their positions in the area.
