Hezbollah issued on Monday a statement to extend congratulations Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya on his election as a new chief of Hamas politburo.
The statement indicated that this election sends a clear message to the Zionist enemy, its supporters, and all those who have wagered on the end of the Palestinian Resistance.
What follows is the full text of the statement:
Hezbollah extends its heartfelt congratulations and blessings to our dear brother, the Mujahid and steadfast leader Khalil Al-Hayya, and to the brothers of the Hamas Movement—its leadership and Mujahideen—on his election as Chairman of the Movement’s Political Bureau, as a worthy successor to the martyred leader Yahya Sinwar.
This election sends a clear message to the Zionist enemy, its supporters, and all those who have wagered on the end of the Palestinian Resistance: Hamas remains present, strong, and united, and will continue its path despite all the assassinations and attempts to break its will and the will of its people. The banner of resistance, which the enemy seeks to bring down through the assassination of its leaders, will remain flying high, carried by loyal men who safeguard the trust and continue the path with faith, determination, and steadfastness.
As Hezbollah congratulates the brothers in the Hamas Movement on this blessed step, we pray that Almighty Allah grants the Mujahid leader Khalil Al-Hayya success and guidance in carrying out this great responsibility and bearing the trust left by the martyred leaders. We reaffirm that the Palestinian Resistance, supported by its great people who have written the finest epics of steadfastness and sacrifice in the face of the Zionist killing and terror machine, will remain steadfast in defending the rights of the Palestinian people until the liberation of their land and holy sites.
