Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) vowed on Monday to continue defending the Islamic Republic’s dignity and independence and pledged loyalty to the new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Mojatba Khamenei, declaring that it would respond to what it described as US aggression with strength and resolve.

“We, the green-clad guardians of the Supreme Leader’s authority in the IRGC, consider your message a binding order,” the statement said, adding: “From the depths of our being, and with one voice alongside the great Iranian people, we raise our voices: ‘At your service, O’ Khamenei!’”
The IRGC pledged to remain the “guardian of the nation’s security, independence, dignity, and progress,” rejecting reliance on promises from an enemy with a history of “broken commitments, deception, and hostility toward the Iranian people.”
“The path to dignity lies through resistance, vigilance, and strength,” the statement said.
Addressing Washington, the IRGC said it remained committed to delivering what Ayatollah Khamenei had described as an “unforgettable lesson” to aggressors.
“Now that the criminal United States has once again chosen the path of error, aggression, and adventurism, we remain steadfast in our pledge to teach it, with strength, resolve, wisdom, and power, the unforgettable lesson,” the statement read.

The IRGC added that such a response would serve to deter future aggression and “enshrine the indomitable will of the Iranian people in history.”
The force also emphasized national unity as a key component of Iran’s defense strategy, saying it would work alongside other armed forces to “safeguard the unity of the people, strengthen the home front, and prevent enemy infiltration.”
“Defensive power gains its strength and effectiveness through national unity,” the statement said.
