Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei said the United States’ violation of its commitments under the memorandum of understanding once again demonstrated that Washington’s promises are unreliable, asserting that American arrogance, unilateralism, and aggression are inseparable features of US policy.
In a statement issued following the mass funeral procession for the martyred leader Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and addressing recent developments, Khamenei said the US breach of its commitments proved “the worthlessness of the American president’s signature and the absence of any credibility behind it.”
“The Great Satan has once again revealed its true face without a mask,” he said, describing the latest events as further evidence of what he called America’s criminal conduct, repeated violations of its pledges, rejection of logic, and inability to be trusted.
Sayyed Khamenei warned that if the United States continues to pursue a path of escalation, “the Iranian nation and the Axis of Resistance have lessons prepared that the enemy will not forget.”
Addressing the Iranian people, Khamenei praised their unprecedented turnout at the funeral procession for the martyred Imam Ali Khamenei, saying the historic gathering reflected the nation’s deep loyalty, gratitude, insight, and enduring commitment to its Islamic-Iranian identity.
His Eminence said the participation of tens of millions of mourners across Tehran, Qom, Mashhad, and cities and villages nationwide had earned the admiration of supporters of the Iranian nation and “free people around the world,” while leaving Iran’s adversaries “confused, astonished, angry, and fearful.”
Khamenei also expressed confidence that the Iranian people would continue to support the country’s dedicated officials across the three branches of government, saying national unity, vigilance, and active public engagement would safeguard the interests of the Islamic Republic.
