Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh addressed the public gathering held alongside the funeral procession of the martyred Imam, Sayyed Ali Khamenei (may his soul rest in peace), at Ashura Square in Beirut’s southern suburb.
“I bring with me the greetings of the Iranian people to the Lebanese people, to the leadership of the Resistance, and to the fighters,” Jalalzadeh said.
“The Zionists aspire to establish “Greater Israel” in order to consolidate their influence in the region and seek to divide us and to keep our region in a constant state of tension.”
“It is essential that everyone assume their responsibility and work to confront this project. The Islamic Republic of Iran and its friends are confronting this project in order to preserve the stability and security of the region,” he affirmed.
“The enemy must be answered and must not escape punishment. Our martyred leader defended honor, dignity, and human nobility. We were raised in his school upon these teachings, and before him, Imam Khomeini taught us to continue along this path with strength and courage.”
“These principles form the foundation of our work and our enduring approach under the leadership of Imam Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei. We continue to follow the path of Imam Khamenei, particularly in foreign policy toward friendly countries, especially beloved Lebanon, its resistant people, and its national forces,” Jalalzadeh said.
“The path we pursue today is one of consolidating the regional order in West Asia, preventing foreign interference in the countries of the region, defending the honor of the region, and safeguarding human rights,” he emphasized.
Public gatherings took place across several Lebanese regions to coincide with the funeral of martyred Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, with a speech by Hezbollah’s Sheikh Naim Qassem.
