Head of the Higher Shiite Islamic Council in Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, denounced on Monday the smear campaign against the House Speaker Nabih Berri.

Sheikh Qabalan stressed that the freedom of speech is protected as long as it does not infringe on the dignity of the clerical and political figures.
