Syrian army units foiled an attack by the terrorists of the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) takfiri group on military posts in the surroundings Jeb al-Jarrah town in the countryside of Homs central province.
Army units clashed on Thursday morning with a terrorist group affiliated to the ISIL which launched an attack from the direction of Unq al-Hawa village on the military posts on the road of Jeb al-Jarrah town, 73 km to the east of Homs City.
The attack was foiled and a number of the ISIS terrorists were killed, others were injured and the remnants fled away as their arms and ammunition were destroyed.
In Hama, army units, backed by the army air force, killed a number of Jaish al-Fateh terrorists and destroyed their arms in Taybet al-Imam, al-Bouaida, Tabaret al-Diba, Tal Hwair, al-Masasnieh, al-Zalakiat, Hasrayia, Talet al-Mentar and Mourek in the countryside of Hama central province.
In Deir Ezzor, army units, defending Deir Ezzor Airport, killed 9 ISIL terrorists along the eastern barricade of the airport.
