A Palestinian was injured Thursday night by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) gunfire at the east of Malaka east Gaza.

Palestinian media reported that a bystander in the border area of the eastern Gaza Strip was shot and wounded by IOF.

Israeli media, meanwhile, said that IOF fired on a Palestinian who was allegedly trying to slip through the fence towards the occupied territories of 1948.

Palestine Today quoted Llocal sources as saying that sound of gunshots were heard near the so-called Israeli settlement of Nahal Oz base east of the besieged strip. Light flares were also reported in the area.
