Palestinian prisoners stabbed and wounded two Israeli prison personnel Sunday evening in Negev Detention Camp, the largest Israeli prison facility.
One of the men suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in his neck, while a second suffered light injuries, Israeli media reported.
Shortly after the attack was reported, dozens of Israeli special forces soldiers invaded the detainees’ rooms and tents in the so-called Kziot prison, and started assaulting them while conducting very violent searches.
The Detainees’ Media Center said the Israeli army turned the prison into what seems to be a battle ground.
Palestinian sources said 25 Palestinian prisoners were injured, noting that 12 of them were seriously wounded and transferred to hospital.
On Monday morning, Palestinian sources said that occupation forces at least 240 Palestinian prisoners at the prison yard.
The Negev Detention Camp has been witnessing serious Israeli violations and escalation, since last month, when the army installed cancerous devices to scramble TV and Radio signals.
