Palestinian resistance factions on Tuesday vowed that Israeli occupation forces attack on Ofer prison won’t go unpunished, a day after dozens of Palestinian prisoners were injured by IOF special units’ crackdown on their cells.
“Ofer prisoners won’t be abandoned in battlefield, the coming hours will prove this,” Hamas’ committee of prisoners said in a statement on Tuesday.
For its part, Islamic Jihad’s committee pf prisoners vowed that “Ofer attack won’t go unpunished.”
“We will not allow Israelis to make prisons a venue for their election campaigns,” Islamic Jihad added in a statement.
Earlier on Monday, repression forces belonging to the Israeli Prison Administration, namely the Dror, Al-Yamaz, Al-Metsada and Al-Yamam units, attacked sections 11 and 12 of Ofer detention center, injuring dozens of Palestinian prisoners.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, the Israeli repression units used sound grenades during the storming sections in Ofer prison, conducting provocative searches for prisoners and tampering with their belongings.
