A US official said on Friday his country has no timeline for pulling its troops out of Syria but does not plan to keep troops there indefinitely either.
“We have no timeline for our military forces to withdraw from Syria,” a senior State Department official told reporters.
This stance came few days after President Donald Trump announced that he would give a four-month allow around four months for troops to withdraw from Syria.
Trump had earlier stated the 2000 troops deployed in eastern Syria would be withdrawn as they completed their mission of, what he called, defeating ISIL terrorists.
