Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi severely criticized US President Donald Trump’s non-diplomatic trip to Baghdad, describing it as disrespect for Iraqi national sovereignty.
“Regional nations will never allow aggressive aliens to sow discord among them,” he said.
Trump stepped in one of the regional countries where its officials and people show him cold shoulder, he said.
Slamming Trump’s interfering and opportunistic statements, Qassemi said that “regional nations will never allow aliens to foment discord among them.”
“It was the vigilant regional nations who annihilated the terrorists funded by the US and Zionist regime,” he said, noting that the US has always backed terrorism, said Qasemi.
“No doubt that all regional countries will find out soon that the region will never see security and stability except through reliance on local resources and capacities and foreign forces should leave the region in its entirety,” the spokesman added.
“Trump had better have a comprehensive review of global and West Asian developments during the time when he has been president of the United States. He may learn necessary things in light of this review,” he said.
