Joint List Palestinian lawmaker Haneen Zoabi blamed Israeli occupation for the violence in Gaza, stressing that the blood of those who have been killed on Sunday clashes is on the hands of Tel Aviv.
“There is no war in Gaza, there is a war over Gaza. And non-dare say that the blood of those killed tonight, and all the years of [Israeli] occupation and suppression is on the hands of Israel.”
It is “a right and a duty” to “resist the [Gaza] blockade and the Israeli army brutality,” the MK said, according to Jerusalem Post.
Elite Israeli occupation soldiers crossed the border into Gaza late on Sunday in a civilian car in a special operation to assassinate Hamas commander prompting an exchange of fire between Zionist soldiers and the Palestinian resistance.
Al-Qassam Brigades commander, Nour Barakah, was martyred in the attack, along with other five Hamas members, the Palestinian resistance movement announced. On the other hand, one Israeli soldiers was killed and another was seriously injured.
