Israeli fighter jets struck dozens of sites across the Gaza Strip early overnight Friday, as fighters fired about 30 rockets into occupied territories, in the heaviest exchange of fire in several weeks.
The fighting followed a bloody day of border protests, in which Israeli forces in Gaza border protests, and another in the West Bank.
Israeli media quoted the Israeli Air Force as saying it struck 87 Hamas targets Friday night and Saturday after 35 rockets were launched.
According to an Israeli occupation forces (IOF) spokesperson, dozens of fighter jets and other Israeli aircrafts carried out the strikes in Gaza.
According to Haaretz, IOF claimed that among the sites attacked were two major weapons manufacturing locations and five military compounds, as well as a building that serves Hamas’ general security forces in Gaza City.
