Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), who has been engaged in fierce battles against ISIL Takfiri terrorists in Iraq, finalized on Monday clearing wide areas in western desert of Anbar.
PMF commander in Anbar, Qassem Mosleh, said the mobilization forces, who are also referred to as the “Hashd Shaabi”, managed to carry out a wide-scale and successful clearing operation in Western Anbar.
“Based on intelligence information and backed by the area residents who showed cooperation, PMF inspected the entire area and secure it from terrorists,” PMF’s news website quoted Mosleh as saying.
The commander meanwhile, stressed that the PMF is keen to pursue ISIL sleeper cells in the western desert of Anbar, praising the area’s residents for their cooperation.
