Syrian air defenses destroyed a hostile target west of Damascus late Thursday, SANA news agency reported.

The agency quoted a military source as saying that the Syrian air defenses intercepted the hostile target and destroyed it west of Damascus.

Reports initially said the target was an Israeli. However, Beirut-based Al-Mayadeen TV channel quoted a Syrian source as saying that the there was no Israeli attack in Syria.
