Two Israeli missiles landed in the vicinity of Damascus International Airport on Monday night.
SANA news agency reported the new Israeli aggression, noting that the attack “comes in the framework of providing support by Zionist entity to terrorist organizations” operating in Syria, in a bid to “raise their collapsed morale” following heavy losses inflicted upon them.
The Syrian Army over the past few days regained control over hundreds of kilometers in Al-Lajat area in the countryside of Daraa, Sweida and the Syrian Badiyah.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights for its part, confirmed the Israeli attack, claiming that the missiles targeted arms depot located close to the airport.
The Zionist occupation has recently increased its airstrikes and missile attacks in several areas across Syria.
