The Commander of the Iranian Al-Quds Brigades, Major General Qassem Suleimani, inspected the Iraqi-Syrian border.
It is worth noting that the Syrian army and allies had reached the border with Iraq in northeastern Tanaf and that the Iraqi popular forces had advanced towards the bordering area with Syria.
