Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif slammed the US military’s recent missile attack on the Syrian government’s airfield near Homs, saying Washington is fighting on the same side as ISIL terrorist group in Syria.

“Not even two decades after 9/11, US military fighting on the same side as al-Qaida & ISIL in Yemen & Syria,” Zarif said on his twitter account on Friday.

“Time to stop hype and cover-ups,” the Iranian top diplomat added, referring to a move by the US to use the recent chemical attack in Syria’s Idlib province as a pretext to launch missile attacks on Syria.

“US aids Saddam’s use of CW against Iran in 80’s; then resorts to military force over bogus CW allegations: 1st in 2003 and now in Syria,” he stated.
