Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov met on Friday the delegation of the Syrian government, headed by Bashar al-Jaafari.

SANA news agency reported the meeting on Friday morning, saying it tackled the latest developments of the intra- Syrian talks.

“Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the course of the talks in Geneva despite the attempts by some to foil these talks,” SANA said.

The fourth round of UN-backed intra-Syrian talks between the government and opposition factions kicked off in Geneva last week.
