In a devastating blow to the Israeli occupation’s army, four soldiers have been declared dead and six others seriously injured during ground battles with the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip. The names of the fallen soldiers, their ranks, and the units they served in have been released by occupation media under the “permitted to publish” clause.
According to Israeli newspaper Maariv, two separate battles took place last night, resulting in casualties. Two sergeants from the 8219 Engineering Battalion were killed in a confrontation in the southern Gaza Strip, while another soldier from the same battalion was severely injured. In the central Gaza Strip, a sergeant from the Israeli Army Reserve, belonging to an engineering battalion in the 36th Division, was also killed. An officer and two troops from the same battalion were seriously injured, along with two reserve officers from the 646th Brigade.
This recent wave of casualties follows the killing of nine officers and troops in two Palestinian resistance attacks within a 24-hour period. The Israeli occupation military establishment has been attempting to conceal the true extent of its losses during the escalating battles with the Palestinian resistance by imposing strict control over the publication of casualty figures.
Al-Quds Brigades present footage of the volcanic bombardment that targeted enemy vehicles and soldiers in the eastern and northern axes in the central province.
However, the Palestinian resistance has been openly disclosing accurate statements and sharing video clips that document their targeted attacks and successful ambushes against the occupation forces. In a brief statement, the military wing of Hamas, the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, announced that one Israeli soldier was sniped and killed with a Qassam “Ghoul” rifle near the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. The Brigades also revealed that they had thwarted an Israeli attempt to rescue one of their prisoners in the same camp, resulting in the killing and injuring of the infiltrating Israeli special force members.
