The two commands of Hezbollah and Amal Movement held a meeting at the latter’s headquarters to review the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.
Head of Executive Council Sayyed Hashem Safieddine and Municipal File Chief Mohammad Bachir represented Hezbollah during the meeting attended by Amal Movement’s Executive Committee Chief Mustafa Foani and Head of Municipal Affairs Bassam Tleis.
In a statement issued after the meeting, Hezbollah and Amal Movement hoped that the Lebanese people find the way to cope with the ongoing crisis, highlighting the importance of electing a new president in order to facilitate the salvation plan.
The statement confirmed Hezbollah and Amal Movement’s readiness to participate in the municipal elections on the basis of their firm alliance, highlighting the importance of the vote in light of the accumulating responsibilities of the municipalities.
The conferees also discussed the Zionist aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque, underscoring the necessity to support the Palestinian people.
The statement, finally, congratulated the Muslims on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan and condoled them on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (P), calling for utilizing the occasions spiritually.
