Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem called for a national consensus to elect the new president that must be able to face the current challenges.
Addressing an educational ceremony in Bekaa, Sheikh Qassem stressed that it is impossible for a provocative candidate imposed by the foreign embassies to win the presidential elections.
Those who have never succumbed to the whole world may never succumb to the embassies, his eminence added.
Sheikh Qassem emphasized that the Lebanese parliament includes lawmakers who reject the foreign interventions and dictates, adding that choosing a new president on the basis of a national consensus is the most appropriate choice.
