Iranians crossed the crossing of Bashmaq between the Islamic Republics west and Iraq’s Kurdistan.
The crossing was opened for Arbaeen pilgrims for the first time on Tuesday (September 6, 2022).
Arbaeen is a longstanding tradition in Islam, which marks the fortieth day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (a.s.), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).
