Prime Minister-designate, Najib Mikati, chaired a meeting at the Grand Serail for the ministerial committee tasked with following up on the repercussion of the financial crisis on the public sector.

Lebanon has been witnessing, since October 2019, a historical economic crisis manifested mainly by an unprecedented inflation, poverty and services disruption.

The Lebanese currency has registered a record low in ts exchange rate against the US dollar. On Monday, the exchange rate reached 35,000 L.L. for every one dollar.
