Israeli occupation forces rearrested Palestinian longest-time hunger striker, Mohammad al-Qiq on Sunday.
Al-Qiq, Palestinian journalist who went on a three-month hunger strike last year in protest against his administrative detention, was released from Israeli jail in May, 2016.
Al-Qiq on Sunday attended an event in which families of Palestinian martyrs were calling the occupation authorities to hand over the bodies of their sons for burial, his wife, Faihaa Shalash told local media in Palestine on Monday.
Occupation police arrested al-Qiq and several fathers of Palestinian martyrs who were killed by Israeli forces earlier, Shalash added, noting they were arrested near Beir El Israeli checkpoint, north of al-Quds (Jerusalem).
The Israeli police then released the fathers of the martyrs but kept al-Qiq in detention, according to his wife.
The father of martyr Mohannad al-Halabi, who were arrested with al-Qiq said that the Palestinian journalist started a new hunger strike in protest against his detention.
