Lebanon’s Grand Jaafarite Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, emphasized that Lebanon must commit to the oil-or-war formula, adding that the maritime gas is the last Lebanese chance to cope with the socioeconomic crisis.
On the eve of the New Hijri Year, Sheikh Qabalan voiced confidence in the Resistance and Army capabilities in face of the Zionist enemy, noting that Lebanon may no longer accept to be besieged without besieging the enemy.
Sheikh Qabalan underlined the importance of sustaining the national sovereignty, warning against obeying the US administration’s dictates.
Sheikh Qabalan also called for rejecting oppression in accordance with Ashura teachings, urging establishing the state of citizenship away from sectarianism in Lebanon.
