“Marada” Movement leader, Sleiman Frangjieh, on Wednesday held a press conference in which he discussed parliamentary elections and stressed that the Lebanese electoral law must be reconsidered.
Thanking his supporters and expressing his intention to accept the results of the electoral process “despite its awkwardness”, Frangieh said that he looked forward to cooperate with the newly elected MPs to rescue the country from its calamities.
“Continuity with incitement discourse does not call for optimism; thus, dialogue must be conducted in order to help build the country. Negative engagement will not lead to a complete settlement,” the Marada leader added.
“We will not marginalize anyone, and we will not impose ourselves on anyone, yet we will not make concessions at the expense of our dignity,” continued Frangieh.
